What if I told you that by giving just two hours of your time, you could feed 12 hungry children? As a bell ringer for our annual Red Kettle Campaign, you’ll help us raise funds and bring hope and kindness to those in need.
Since 1884, The Salvation Army has served Silicon Valley with soup kitchens, homeless shelters, addiction recovery services, rent assistance, and more. Last year we reached over 500,000 Bay Area residents. Our nationally renowned Red Kettle Campaign is our principal source of private funding and ensures we can meet the growing need in our community. Becoming a bell ringer is simple, rewarding, and fun. Most of our ringers enjoy it so much that they volunteer with us every holiday season. The Red Kettle Campaign runs from Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. We have many locations throughout the Bay Area.

“My wife and I are homeless and currently living in our car. If it was not for The Salvation Army, we would not have a safe place to eat a good healthy meal on a daily basis.” -Joe
Maximize your impact this holiday season! As a Team Captain, you’ll gather a group of 4-8 friends or colleagues to staff one of our kettle sites from 10 am to 6 pm. Generally, each volunteer commits to a two-hour shift. We will take care of the rest by meeting you at both 10 am and 6 pm to set up and collect the kettles. If you are part of a group or business that wants to change lives this holiday season, you’ll love being a part of our Red Kettle Campaign.
This holiday season, give two hours of your time for a great cause. As a Bell Ringer, you’ll spend two hours ringing the bell at one of our red kettle sites.

"I have been ringing the bell for The Salvation Army for 18 years. It is so rewarding to know that each and every penny that is collected from just before Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve is going to the less fortunate, right here in Santa Clara County. It is a blessing to see the citizens support such a wonderful Charity that has so many programs for those in need." -Ron K.
