Pathway of Hope

“Pathway of Hope” is The Salvation Army’s commitment to deepen and expand our life-changing impact on our community. We have developed innovative solutions rooted in visionary, evidence-based best practices designed to meet people where they are through a fully integrated approach to providing human services. The modernization of our San Jose campus will increase our capacity not just to treat the symptoms of poverty but to begin preventing the epidemic at its root.

Pathway of Hope

Community Impact

We were excited to welcome our seniors back to in-person activities and dining. Here they can find a daily refuge, warm meals, and socialization to prevent isolation and improve their overall health and well-being.

At Emmanuel House, we have introduced formal case management and wraparound services to empower unhoused residents to regain their economic stability, health, and self-sufficiency to ensure they never have to return to homelessness. Through this new approach, we saw significant outcomes, moving 33 individuals to a place of full self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

Through our no-cost Adult Rehabilitation Center, 56 men successfully completed a rigorous 6-month program, where they were equipped with the tools to successfully conquer their addictions and return to being participatory members of their families and productive members of their communities.

Our Future

As we approach our 140th year in Silicon Valley, we look to the future and are excited to embark on a redevelopment plan, 50 years in the making, to expand our capacity to serve the growing and changing needs of our community. Our model of H.O.P.E. describes our philosophy and approach to delivering a compassionate model of care to uplift those we serve and place them on a pathway of self-sufficiency and long-term success. This is the Pathway of Hope.
