Support struggling families! We are now accepting gently used purses for our Helping Hand-Bag booth.
The Women's Auxiliary of Silicon Valley is a fundraising and volunteer service group that supports The Salvation Army's local programs. Our chapter will sponsor initiatives that enrich the lives of Silicon Valley residents by meeting their unique needs. Activities may include special fundraising through approved projects, furnishing volunteer workers, leadership in group work, and many other activities. Together, we'll work diligently to raise funds and offer hands-on support.
Each year, the Women’s Auxiliary Silicon Valley will be promoting and executing between 1-3 annual events for the purpose of raising funds and will work closely with the Advisory Board. As our chapter grows, we plan to introduce more volunteer opportunities for you to be involved with! Currently, we have the following annual events: Our springtime Work of A.R.T. event, which raises money to send 100 children to summer camp, and the Red Kettle Campaign, in which we partner with the Advisory Board to staff or sponsor bell-ringing stations across Silicon Valley.
At our annual Women's Auxiliary Work of A.R.T. (Adventure. Roots. Transformation.) Garden Luncheon & Fine Art Drawing, women from all over Silicon Valley gather to raise money to send underprivileged children to summer camp at The Salvation Army's Camp Redwood Glen in the Santa Cruz mountains. Since 1946, The Salvation Army's Camp Redwood Glen has provided a safe place for children to seek Adventure, develop Roots and experience personal Transformation! In addition to connecting with like-minded women who share a passion for helping others, luncheon attendees received art from talented local artists and raised money for struggling children in our community. In 2019, we raised money to send 100 underserved children to camp.
This year's Work of A.R.T. Luncheon will be on May 28, 2020. Save the date!
We will have a booth at the St. Mary's Harvest Market again this year on October 8, 2020. Proceeds from our Helping Hand-Bag event will help struggling families in Silicon Valley.

We are thrilled that you are interested in joining our service group and making an impact in Silicon Valley. We seek women from all walks of life who share a common desire to help those in need. There are three membership options (bolded in this section). Active Members of the Women's Auxiliary are given the privilege to vote, hold office, propose new members. To qualify, women must meet the following requirements:
Attend regular meetings (approximately once every 3 months or as needed)
Participate and assist with at least one annual event (varies based on membership type)
Membership Dues ($100 per year)
Women also have the option to become Supporting Members, which is based on semi-active participation. These members must agree to attend and support quarterly meetings and actively assist with at least one annual event. Lastly, Sponsoring/Contributing Members also agree to semi-active participation, with the expectation that they will attend when able, as well as fund specific projects or events.
